Digital Desk: Brazilian forward Neymar Jr has officially joined Cristiano Ronaldo in the Saudi Pro League after signing a two-year contract with Al-Hilal on Tuesday.

The SPL Club used its social media platform to announce the arrival of the 31-year-old winger with a caption. "From the capital of beauty to the land of civilization, heritage, and the future... Neymar Jr joins Asia's Leader," it wrote.

The Brazilian talent spent six years with the Ligue 1 champions, scoring 118 goals in 173 matches, making him Paris Saint-Germain's fourth-all-time highest scorer.

With 77 goals in 124 caps, he is currently Brazil's joint-top scorer, on par with football legend Pele.

Nasser Al-Khelaifi, President and CEO of Paris Saint-Germain, expressed sadness for the footballer as he ended his journey with them.

"It's always difficult to say goodbye to an incredible player like Neymar, who is one of the best players in the world. I will always be grateful for everything he has done for our Club and our mission over the past six years, including the day he joined Paris Saint-Germain. Neymar will always play a significant role in our history, and we enjoyed a fantastic moment. I'd like to express my gratitude to Neymar and his family. We wish Neymar the best of luck in the future and on his next adventure," Khelaifi said, as quoted by PSG.com.

Neymar left as a champion after winning four Ligue 1 titles (in 2019, 2020, 2022, and 2023), two Coupes de France (in 2020 and 2021), a Coupe de la Ligue (in 2020), and three Trophees des Champions (in 2018, 2020, and 2022). a strong track record supported by individual statistics.
