Mumbai: Indian cricketer Harbhajan Singh won the hearts of Rajinikanth fans’ by wishing the Thalaivar in a special way on his 71st birthday on Sunday (December 12).
On Rajinikanth’s special day, the 41-year-old cricketer took to Instagram account and surprised the score with a birthday post.
Posting a picture of himself with a Rajinikanth tattoo on the left side of his chest, Harbhajan wrote a few lines in Tamil which, when roughly translated, means, “I have a superstar on my chest. You were the Billa of the eighties. You were the Basha of the nineties. You were the Annaaththe of 2k. My sweet birthday greetings to the one and only superstar of cinema.”
In less than an hour, the post received over 13,000 likes receiving appreciation from the Thalaivar’s fans.

Apart from the Indian spinner, fans and well-wishers flooded social media with wishes for Rajinikanth.
Wishing the reigning superstar of Indian cinema, his son-in-law and actor Dhanush tweeted, “Happy birthday, my thalaiva !! The one and only SUPERSTAR RAJINIKANTH sir .. love you so much (sic),” with several heart emojis.
While, his friend and Malayalam superstar Mammootty shared a photo from their film, Thalapathy, to wish him. He wrote, “Wishing you a very happy birthday, dear @rajinikanth. Stay healthy and blessed as always. #HBDSuperstarRajinikanth (sic).”
Prime Minister Narendra Modi took to Twitter to wish Rajinikanth on his birthday. He wrote, “A very happy birthday to @rajinikanth Ji. May he keep inspiring people with his creativity and phenomenal acting. May Almighty bless him with a long and healthy life (sic).”
Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin wishing his good friend Rajinikanth on his birthday, tweeted in Tamil is roughly translated as, “Happy Birthday to my dear friend Superstar @rajinikanth who shares a great bond. Stepping into his 72nd year, he should continue to entertain the Tamil people for many more years with his unparalleled charm. I wish him to be in good health for many years (sic).”
Moreover, to celebrate the superstar’s birthday, his fans had planned several activities across Tamil Nadu. From dishing out creative posters and tribute videos to organizing several welfare activities for the general public across the state, his fans made sure that they celebrated the Thalaivar birthday to the extent.
