Digital Desk: Indian skipper Rohit Sharma reacted to the viral video of fans allegedly chanting "]ai Shree Ram" at star Indian pacer Mohhamed Shami during the fourth Test match of the recently concluded India-Australia series at Ahmedabad's Narendra Modi Stadium.

The fan clip from the venue's stands has been making the rounds on social media for the last few days and has divided opinions among cricket fans. There had been no official word on the video until the home team captain, Rohit, broke his silence on the matter. The Indian captain stated that he had not seen the video and was unaware of the incident.

"Absolutely not aware of this. I heard this for the first time and I don't know what's happened there," Rohit was quoted saying by PTI in the post-match press conference.

    India seal series win

Talking about the match, India sealed a 2-1 series win after a tame draw. This is India's fourth straight series victory against Australia in Test cricket. The result also secured India's place in the 2023 World Test Championship (WTC) final, where they face Australia on June 7 at London's Kia Oval Stadium.

In Ahmedabad, Australia scored 480 after winning the toss and batting first, with Usman Khawaja and Cameron Green both scoring centuries. For India, Ravichandran Ashwin put on an amazing bowling performance, taking six wickets.

India also had two centurions in Shubman Gill and Virat Kohli. Gill scored his first Test century on home soil, while Kohli broke a 1204-day drought without a century in the game's longest format. The fifth day turned out to be an anticlimax as Australia lost just two wickets.

The match was a massive celebration of not just the sport but also 75 years of friendship between India and Australia. Both India's and Australia's Prime Ministers, Narendra Modi and Anthony Albanese, were present on the first day of the match. Both leaders stood with their teams to sing the national anthem.
