    Digital Desk: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has directed that the Rohit Sharma-led team meet in Guwahati today in preparation for the ODI series. Hardik Pandya and company will join the rest of the team from Rajkot after a 91-run victory in the third T20. The ODI series begins on January 10 at Guwahati's Barsapara Cricket Stadium. The players will have a net session on January 9 before the first ODI.


    Team India players begin preparations for the ODI series against Sri Lanka-


    Rohit Sharma is now out of action after injuring his finger during the Bangladesh One-Day International last month. The Team India captain is nearing fitness and is likely to begin batting shortly. Virat Kohli is currently on vacation with his wife Anushka Sharma and is anticipated to begin practising soon.


    Despite the selectors' concerns about Jasprit Bumrah's injury, he was just included to the ODI team. The bowler was named for the ODI series after receiving a fitness check. The Mumbai Indians cricketer has been out for months due to a back issue. The premier fast bowler for Team India was hurt during the third T20I against Australia in Hyderabad.


    Where a result of the injury, he was unable to compete in the T20 World Cup in Australia, as India was eliminated in the semi-finals. The 29-year-old is likely to pay a visit to the National Cricket Academy (NCA) before flying to Guwahati and joining the rest of the team. 


    The return of Mohammad Shami is also a significant boost for Team India. The pacer last appeared in the T20 World Cup in Australia in 2022. He was scheduled to play an ODI series in Bangladesh but was forced to withdraw owing to a shoulder injury just before the first match.


    While the Sri Lanka side is currently engaged in a three-match T20I series, some ODI squad players have already begun preparing for the series. Shreyas Iyer and Mohamad Shami recently posted a video about their preparations for the forthcoming One-Day International series. Before joining the team, Mohammad Siraj was observed sweating in the gym.

    India will have a full-strength assault for the ODI series, thanks to the return of Jasprit Bumrah. 


    Rohit Sharma will have a full-strength bowling attack at his disposal for the India vs Sri Lanka ODI series, thanks to the inclusion of Jasprit Bumrah. In addition to Bumrah, the pacemen will be Mohammed Shami, Mohammed Siraj, Arshdeep Singh, and Umran Malik. These seam bowling possibilities will be covered by Hardik Pandya.
