The RCB top order, led by captain Faf du Plessis and Glenn Maxwell, put in a strong showing, batting half-centuries to enable the team to record a respectable total of 171 for five after electing to bat.
After that, the RCB bowlers, led by Wayne Parnell, put on a brilliant performance to dismiss Rajasthan for a pitiful 59 in just 10.3 overs. Michael Bracewell and Karn Sharma both took two wickets in addition to Parnell's three, making Rajasthan unable to keep up with the pace of the match.
The RCB total was established by the 69-run partnership between Du Plessis and Maxwell for the second wicket, but the middle order struggled, leading to the loss of four wickets for only 18 runs.
