    Gaikwad, the Maharashtra team's captain, was unbeaten in the final eight matches of India's major one-day competition at 220 off 159. He hit 16 sixes and 10 fours in one inning.

    Digital Desk: What a Record? Can you believe a batsman hitting seven sixes in one over? Yes, this is true, Indian batter Ruturaj Gaikwad has rewritten record books by hitting seven consecutive sixes in one over to create a List A world record in the ongoing Vijay Hazare Trophy 2022.

    Opener Gaikwad set the record At the Narendra Modi Stadium B Ground in Ahmedabad on Monday, during a Vijay Hazare Trophy quarterfinal game between Maharashtra and Uttar Pradesh.



    Because of a no-ball that the advancing top-order hitter also sent over the boundary while delivering the 49th over of the game, Shiva Singh was the unfortunate bowler to give up seven sixes.

    Gaikwad also scored his maiden double-century in List A cricket, going from 165 off 147 to 207 off 154 thanks to a no-ball which was also dispatched over the boundary.

    Gaikwad, who is the captain of Maharashtra, was unbeaten at 220 off 159 in the last eight of India's premier one-day tournament. His innings included 10 fours and 16 sixes.
     
    With his mind-blowing inning, the team finished with 330/5 in 50 Overs.
