Former cricketer Suresh Raina lauded MS Dhoni for leading the Chennai Super Kings to 200 games...
Digital Desk: Former Indian cricketer Suresh Raina complimented MS Dhoni on his 200th match as captain of the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the Indian Premier League (IPL). Dhoni accomplished the feat during CSK's match against Sanju Samson's Rajasthan Royals (RR) on Wednesday, April 12 at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.
Raina lauded Dhoni for his incredible achievements over the years. The veteran shared a photo with Ambati Rayudu, Ravindra Jadeja, and Robin Uthappa.
Raina captioned the photo, remarking, "Congratulations on your 200th IPL match as a captain @mahi7781 for @chennaiipl. So proud of your achievements, keep rocking as always brother! #ipl2023 #yellove.”
The Super Kings honoured Dhoni, who was born in Jharkhand, before the match against the Royals. Former ICC chief and current CSK owner N Srinivasan presented Dhoni with a memento in recognition of his exploits.
Raina and Dhoni have a healthy rivalry. From 2008 to 2021, the tandem appeared in a number of Super Kings matches. Raina went unsold at an auction last year, prompting him to turn to criticism.
Dhoni, on the other hand, has kept up his cricket career with the Super Kings and, at the age of 41, is the oldest cricketer in the IPL 2023. Dhoni declared his retirement from international cricket in August 2020, and a few hours later, Raina confirmed his retirement from top-level cricket.
