Injuries have affected India's Tour to Bangladesh, with three players set to miss the series' third and final ODI...
Digital Desk: Captain Rohit Sharma was one of three players confirmed by head coach Rahul Dravid to miss the third ODI against Bangladesh. Dravid indicated that Rohit would skip the third ODI and travel to Mumbai to meet with an expert.
Following that, a decision on his participation in the Test series would be made.
"Rohit will almost definitely miss the next game, fly back to Bombay, speak with an expert, and determine if he can return for the Test matches or not. That is premature."
Deepak Chahar, who only bowled three overs in the second ODI in Dhaka, was also ruled out of the final ODI, as was Kuldeep Sen, who missed the match on Wednesday.
"All three of them will definitely not play the next game," Dravid remarked following the game, which India narrowly lost despite Rohit's late efforts.
During Bangladesh's batting innings, the skipper injured his finger while trying a catch. As he moved away, the ball struck his thumb, causing him to bleed.
After the BCCI medical staff assessed him, he went for scans, according to the BCCI.
However, with India trailing in the run chase, Rohit stepped out to bat at No.9, hitting an unbeaten 51 off only 28 balls to propel India to victory.
He smashed a six with 12 runs needed off two balls, but only managed a single off the final ball as Bangladesh wrapped the series by five runs.
