Throughout his career, Kohli has covered a total of 276.57 kilometers between the wickets...
Digital Desk: Virat Kohli, star Indian batsman who has played 15 years of international cricket, posted a two-word post on Instagram on achieving the milestone.
At the age of 19 years and 287 days, Kohli made his international debut in an ODI match against Sri Lanka on August 18, 2008, in Dambulla. The record for the youngest Indian opener in a men's ODI debut still exists, who started the team's batting. However, he did not have the best of debuts as he was dismissed on 12 off 22 balls.
Taking to Instagram, Kohli expressed delight with a two-word post.
"Forever grateful," Kohli captioned an image of his match-winning strike against Pakistan in the T20 WorldCup last year.
Kohli is not part of the Indian team for the ongoing tour of Ireland. He will now be seen in action at the Asia Cup in Sri Lanka.
Kohli struggled with the bat following his dismissal as India's all-format captain, raising doubt on his future with the Indian team.
However, he has silenced the critics over the past year or two with some standout knocks, like as the one against Pakistan at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.
Kohli has scored 25,582 runs in 501 appearances in international cricket.
As a matter of fact, 13,748 of his runs have been made up of converting singles into twos and threes. Throughout his career, he has covered a total of 276.57 kilometers between the wickets.
