Despite the star player's absolute commitment, France lost to Argentina 4-2 in penalty shootouts. Mbappe scored three goals during the game to keep France's football team in it till the finish, but they failed in the penalty shootouts, scoring only two goals while Argentina scored four.

    Following the game, Kylian Mbappe tweeted "Nous reviendrons" with a photo of himself holding the Golden Boot award. The note read, "We will return," and it was written in French. The 23-year-old has accomplished a lot, and with 8 goals in the competition, he also had the most goals scored.

    Following France's defeat to Argentina in the FIFA World Cup 2022 finals, Mbappe finally broke his silence, and soon after, supporters from all around the world reacted to his tweet on Twitter.

    A fan wrote “Future GOAT” while the other one wrote “Mbappe you did a great job. A great player! You won my heart Love You!”.
