World Cup 2023 semi-final schedule: Teams, Matches, Venues and More

Digital Desk: With the four tournament semi-finalists determined, the stage is set for the Cricket World Cup 2023 semi-finals. 

India and South Africa had already confirmed spots, and New Zealand had taken the fourth and last knockout slot. As they played each of the other nine teams one-on-one in the league stage, all four teams showed promising performances. India is the only team without a loss entering the semi-finals, yet one loss might send them out of the tournament.

Semi-final 1: India will face New Zealand in the first round of the knockout round at Mumbai's Wankhede Stadium. Notably, the Kiwis won over their opponent in the 2019 World Cup semi-final, which lasted two days owing to rain. This time, Rohit Sharma's team aims to avoid history being repeated.

India vs New Zealand, Semi-final 1: November 15, Wednesday, 2:00 PM IST at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.

Semi-final 2: In the second World Cup 2023 semi-final, Australia and South Africa will play against each other. Australia, the five-time champion, bounced back from losing their opening two league stage games to win seven straight and take third place in the standings. South Africa may have a psychological advantage since they have won seven of their nine league games, including the match against Australia. It is yet to be seen if South Africa will overcome against Australia once more and secure their first-ever spot in an ODI World Cup final.

Semi-final 2 between South Africa and Australia is scheduled for November 16, Thursday, at 2:00 PM IST at Eden Gardens, Kolkata.
