Jaipur : Assam boy Riyan Parag celebrated his first wicket in the ongoing Indian Premier league (IPL) against Mumbai Indians in Jaipur adding flavor of Bihu on the field.
It took no less time for the Assamese brethren to share the pic and his video where he is seen breaking into a gig displaying few steps of Bihu on field while taking the first wicket of the IPL match.
Riyan Parag hails from Assam’s Guwahati who plays for Rajasthan Royals.
This young cricketing hero from Assam seemed jubilant while taking his first wicket in his third game for the Rajasthan Royals.
Parag scored 43 while Smith remained unbeaten on 59 as RR registered their third win of the season. Had he scored fifty, Parag would have become the youngest in the league’s history to get to a half-century. Parag also bowled two overs of leg-spin, giving away 17 runs from them.
Parag described the feeling as surreal when Unadkat asked him how it was like playing for the Royals and winning the game with his bat.
Parag was also seen donning the Axomiya Gamusa style handkerchief in his trousers during the IPL match. The Photo went viral in social media with the Assamese people praising the young lad for donning his Assamese roots. Veteran all-rounder Irfan Pathan was so impressed with Parag’s knock that he took to Twitter to appreciate the young batsman.
