India will be included on the MotoGP calendar beginning in 2023

Digital Desk: The Buddh International Circuit in New Delhi will host a
MotoGP race beginning in 2023, according to organizers.

Dorna Sports, the commercial rights holders, announced earlier this month
that they were in discussions with the state government of Uttar Pradesh and
    India's sports ministry.

Dorna Sports CEO Carmelo Ezpeleta said in a statement, "We have a
lot of fans in India and we're excited to be able to bring the sport to
    them."

"India is also a key market for the motorcycle
industry, and thus for MotoGP as the pinnacle of the two-wheeled world."

The 5.14km track on the outskirts of New Delhi hosted
Formula One races from 2011 to 2013, before being removed from the schedule.

MotoGP announced earlier this week that it had agreed to a
five-year deal to stage races at Kazakhstan's Sokol International Racetrack
    beginning in 2023.

The 2023 MotoGP season will kick off on March 24th with a
race at Portugal's Algarve International Circuit in Portimao.
