mso-fareast-font-family:"Times New Roman"">After Bumrah suffered a back injury
in the build-up to the first T20I between the two teams, the All-India Senior
Selection Committee decided to bring in pacer Siraj for India's home match
against South Africa. Bumrah is currently under the care of the BCCI medical
team after missing the entire Asia Cup 2022 due to a back injury.

mso-fareast-font-family:"Times New Roman"">Bumrah, India's number one pacer, is
questionable for the T20 World Cup 2022, which begins next month in Australia.
Bumrah did not play in the first game of the series between India and South
Africa on Wednesday due to back pain. Bumrah will miss the flight to Australia
due to a back stress fracture, according to multiple reports.

mso-fareast-font-family:"Times New Roman"">Bumrah struggled in the last two
internationals he played against World Champions Australia in the three-match
T20I series that followed the Asia Cup. "Bumrah will almost certainly not
play in the T20 World Cup. He has a serious back problem. He has a stress
fracture and could be out for six months."
