Digital Desk: More than 1.5 million people have submitted applications for the compulsory pass for the upcoming football World Cup, which starts on November 20, Qatar said on Sunday.
Between 1.5 million and 1.7 million people have so far applied for the card, which serves as a visa, match ticket, and transportation ticket, and grants admission to specific fan zones, according to Saad Al-Suwaidi, head of the Hayya pass service.
From November 1, all visitors to Qatar, whether they want to attend a game or not, will need a pass to enter.
