Riyan Parag and Harshal Patel were involved in a heated spat during the 39th match of the IPL 2022

IPL 2022: Tuesday, Rajasthan Royals moved to the top of the points table with a 29-run victory over RCB.

Digital Desk: Riyan Parag of the (Rajasthan Royals) RR team earlier had a poor response this season as he hasn't been at his best, averaging only 104 runs in eight games.

R Aswin believed that he could do much better, which happened in the 39th match against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) by defeating them and winning the match; Riyan Parag received the Player of the Match award for his excellent innings, four catches and made the win possible for the RR.

Riyan Parag of the Rajasthan Royals stole the show last night during the IPL 2022 match against Royal Challengers Bangalore at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune with a stunning knock.

Currently, RR has made a jump on the points table of this IPL season by securing first place and leaving the Gujarat Titans behind them.

Riyan muted his naysayers with the bat last night, scoring 56* runs off 31 balls while smashing three fours and four sixes. Riyan Parag's bat and the Royals' bowlers contributed to the team's sixth win of the season, propelling them to the top of the IPL 2022 points table.

Apart from his performances, Riyan Parag opened the spotlight after a verbal argument with Harshal Patel.

The incident occurred after the 20th over when Harshal bowled, and Parag hit four and two sixes. The 20-year-old finished the incredible innings with a maximum over cow corners, bringing the total to 18 runs off the over. After the innings, Parag was seen walking off the field when he turned around and began arguing with Harshal, who was later stopped by members of the RR support staff.

All the while, Harshal Patel did not shake hands with Riyan Parag after the game, which made for awkward post-game scenes. Parag excitedly had come forward to shake hands with his equivalent, but Harshal refused and walked past him.

Even Parag was taken aback by Harshal Patel's reaction, and a video of it has gone viral on the internet. Fans were also taken aback to see him walk by in such a manner.

Harshal Patel, last year's Purple Cap winner, has been in good form for RCB this season, taking 10 wickets in eight games.

Rajasthan Royals defended their total and bowled RCB out for 115 to win by 29 runs and move to the top of the table.
