Digital Desk: The International Cricket Council announced the fixtures for the warm-up matches for the T20 World Cup 2022, which will start on October 22. India will play warm-up matches against New Zealand and Australia before their big-ticket opening match against Pakistan on October 23 at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.

India will play both of its warm-up matches at Brisbane's Gabba. On October 17, they will face Australia, and on October 19, they will face New Zealand.

The warm-up matches will get underway on October 10, but the teams that have already made it to the Super 12 will play their warm-up fixtures on October 17 and 19. The first-round teams, including the West Indies and Sri Lanka, will play their warm-up matches between October 10 and 13.

Only Brisbane and Melbourne will serve as the locations for the T20 World Cup warm-up games. None of these warm-ups will carry official T20 international status.

India is currently playing in the Asia Cup in the UAE, but Rohit Sharma's team has been eliminated from contention for the final after losses to Pakistan and Sri Lanka in the Super 4 stage. On Thursday, India will face Afghanistan in the last match of the continental tournament.
