Mumbai: Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) arrested a drug peddler from Goa in connection with the drug case linked to actor Sushant Singh Rajput on Friday.
The accused identified as Hemal Shah will be produced before the court later in the day.
“Hemal Shah’s alleged involvement came to light during the investigation of a drugs case linked to Sushant Singh Rajput’s death,” an NCB official said.
The NCB which has been probing the drugs angle in the actors death case, started the investigation after it received official communications from the Enforcement Directorate (ED), in which various chats related to drugs consumption, procurement, usage and transporation has come to light.
Last year on July 31 ED registered an Enforcement Case Information Report in the later actors death after a First Information Report (FIR) was filed by Rajput’s father KK Singh against Rhea Chakraborty in Bihar on July 28.
