NASA Asteroids Alert: Three Asteroids approaching Towards Earth

Three of the asteroids will be passing by Earth…

Digital Desk: According to NASA, today  three asteroids are to pass by Earth. Though none of them pose a threat, they offer nice research opportunities for scientists and science enthusiasts. Three of the asteroids are named 2018QE, 2024 TD3, and 2024 TK3, are part of the space tracking venture.

The first asteroid is named 2018QE, and it is about the size of a bus. It is reported to be 32 feet wide and will be passing as close as 415,000 KM from Earth. It will be much further than the moon's distance. While the second on the list is 2024TD3, it is about 99 feet wide and approach Earth at 2,320,000 km. This will be three times bigger than the size of the earth while passing it safely.

While the third one, namely the 2024 TK3, is about 57 feet and just a little smaller than a house. It will pass by Earth at a safe distance of 2,350,000 km, which will enable the researchers to study its characteristics as well.

Although these three asteroids are not threatening, however, NASA’s careful observation is crucial. Nasa’s asteroids watch dashboard tracks the movement of comets and asteroids, it also provides information on the date of the closest approach, the approximate size of the object, and its closeness to Earth. The information obtained through observational surveys assists researchers in understanding celestial movement and the formation of space objects.
