34-yr-old man stabbed in face by momos vendor for demanding extra 'Chutney'

Digital Desk: In a shocking incident, a 34-year-old man was severely injured after being stabbed in the face by a momos vendor during an argument over extra ‘chutney’ in Delhi, police said Thursday. The incident took place when Sandeep asked for more red sauce from the 22-year-old momos vendor, Vikas. Vikas declined, citing limited stock, triggering a heated argument.

As the disagreement escalated, Vikas allegedly resorted to violence, stabbing Sandeep in the face twice with a knife he retrieved from his cart. The injured victim was swiftly taken to Hedgewar Hospital, where he is currently undergoing treatment for serious facial injuries.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (Shahdara) Rohit Meena reported that the police received a distress call on Wednesday evening, leading them to the crime scene. Sandeep recounted the incident, detailing the demand for extra chutney that spiraled into a violent confrontation.

An FIR was promptly filed against Vikas for attempted murder, and a dedicated police team was formed to apprehend the perpetrator. Vikas was successfully arrested in the Farsh Bazar area on Thursday morning.
