Ajay is a taxi driver from Uttar Pradesh who started talking to Julie, a woman from Bangladesh, on Facebook.
Digital Desk: A similar situation between a man from Moradabad and a woman from Bangladesh came to light amid the national media attention given to the love story between a Pakistani woman named Seema Haider and a man from Greater Noida in the UP.
To meet the man named Ajay from Moradabad in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh with whom she had fallen in love online, a woman from Bangladesh named Julie travelled to India. But there hasn't been a sad twist in their international love story.
On Facebook, Julie, a Bangladeshi woman, and Ajay, an Uttar Pradesh cab driver, started talking. Soon after meeting Ajay in Moradabad, Julie decided to fly to India with her 11-year-old daughter Halima. The two later got married.
After getting married to Ajay, Julie decided to give up Islam and convert to Hinduism, adopting her new husband's lifestyle and religious beliefs. Julie made the decision to take Ajay to Bangladesh to meet her parents after enjoying a year of married bliss here.
Reports stated that Julie's first husband, who was also a native of Bangladesh, had died many years prior. Sunita, Ajay's mother, has now claimed that arranging for her son to marry her was part of a conspiracy and that she illegally brought Ajay back to her own country.
Soon after Sunita lost contact with her son four days ago, things took a grim turn when she later received a picture of him covered in blood. After seeing this picture, people began to panic, and Ajay called his sister and begged for help.
Julie allegedly planned to use the family funds and had taken all the jewellery given to her at her wedding to Bangladesh, indicating that she had no intention of returning to India with her son. Ajay's mother has also claimed that Julie wanted to use the family money.
