Digital Desk: In a bizarre incident reported from Bihar, a man forgot to attend his own wedding on Monday. The incident happened in Sultanganj village in Bhagalpur.

The groom had consumed alcohol the night before his wedding. He forgot to attend his own wedding because he was under the influence of alcohol.

The groom did not appear while the bride and her family waited for him at the wedding venue.

When the groom regained consciousness on Tuesday and arrived at the bride's home, she refused to marry, according to ETV Bharat.

The bride stated that she cannot spend her life with a man who is oblivious to his responsibilities.

The bride's family also demanded that the groom's family reimburse them for the money spent on wedding arrangements.

Some of the groom's relatives were also held hostage by the bride's relatives.

The police reached the venue on a tip-off.

According to police sources, the cops brought the situation under control and resolved the matter.

In another case, a UP groom called off his wedding because he felt the bride's 12th grade was inadequate. The incident occurred in the Tirva Kotwali area of Uttar Pradesh's Kannauj district. The groom's withdrawal from the alliance, according to the bride's father, is due to the bride's poor 12th-grade performance.

However, the bride's father claimed that the groom's decision was motivated by a lack of dowry.
