IndiGo passenger finds ‘screw’ in Bengaluru-Chennai flight food, airline responds
The post quickly went viral, drawing attention to the need for stricter quality control measures in airline catering services...

Digital Desk: India's one of the most popular Airlines 'indigo Airlines' was making constant headlines either for delays of their services or overcharging of seats and food onboard the flight. But despite all the public heat, it seems like Brand's 'embarrassing episode' is not over yet, as it's back in the headlines when a controversial post appeared online, where a passenger found a screw inside a sandwich he purchased from the flight.

A Reddit user, @MacaroonIll3601, took to Reddit to inform netizens of a screw that he had found in a sandwich purchased on a Bengaluru-Chennai IndiGo flight on 1 February. The image posted on the platform featured a spinach and corn sandwich with an IndiGo sticker, thereby, indicating its origin.

Further, in his post, the user mentioned that he received a disheartening reply from airline authorities after complaining about the food. He further captioned "When I urged for an apology from the airlines end they came back with a response that since I consumed it post flight it couldn’t be found legible!”

However, it is very difficult to find a meal that ticks all the boxes – ‘quality, taste, and no contaminants'. The viral incidents revealing everything from cockroaches to worms finding their way to their meal lacking quality standards suggests that outside food is no longer safe and trustworthy. Adding to this alarming trend, a recent video of an indigo passenger finding screw in a sandwich underscore the severity of the situation.

The Reddit post quickly went viral, drawing attention to the need for stricter quality control measures in airline catering services.

Netizens were quick to spill out their thoughts. One stated  “You can raise a complaint in consumer court on it!" while another stated, “Indigo is finding new ways to screw people.”
