Digital Desk: Taste Atlas named Mysore Pak, a famous and delectable Indian sweet, as one of the top street food sweets in the world. Mysore Pak is ranked 14th on the list, alongside two other Indian desserts, Falooda and Kulfi Falooda.

Taste Atlas is a well-known food magazine that offers in-depth reviews and information about street cuisine from around the world.

Mysore Pak, which originated in the kitchens of the Mysore Palace, has not only caught the taste buds of Kannadigas but also the hearts of many South Indians.

In a tweet, DK Shivakumar, Karnataka's Deputy Chief Minister, expressed his happiness at Mysore Pak's recognition. "Kannadigas are pleased to see Mysore Pak ranked 14th among the world's top 50 street sweets by Taste Atlas," he remarked. "It reminds me of having Mysore Pak with my father and relatives who would frequently bring it home as a child," he added.

Although the name suggests that it originated in Karnataka's Mysore, there is a popular idea that Mysore Pak was invented in Tamil Nadu and then smuggled into Mysore. DK Shivakumar, on the other hand, is adamant that Mysore Pak belongs to Karnataka. The credit for Mysore Pak goes to the hard work and skill of millions of chefs who have made it a household name," he emphasised.

The global popularity of Mysore Pak illustrates India's rich culinary tradition and the global affection for Indian street cuisine sweets. Mysore Pak is loved by foodies all over the world for its exquisite taste and historical significance.
