Digital Desk: A ragpicker found a bag containing 23 bundles of US dollars in a heap of garbage in Bengaluru. In Indian rupees, one dollar is worth ₹ 25 crore.

Salman Sheikh, the ragpicker, found the bundle of notes on November 1.

Startled by the finding, Mr Sheikh kept the bundle and took it to his boss, Bappa, on November 5.

Following that, the boss contacted social activist Kali Mullah, who then got in touch with the Commissioner of Police.

Later, Bengaluru Police Commissioner, B Dayananda, summoned them and the case was assigned to the Hebbal Police station for investigation.

The notes are laced with chemicals and police suspect it is the handiwork of gangs engaged in Black Dollar Scam.

The notes have been sent to the Reserve Bank Of India to determine if they are fake or real.
