Sabyasachi's new wedding and festive collection Ad sparks controversy, Internet calls it ''Funeral Collection''
Instead of discussing the designs, some individuals mocked the brand and referred to the latest advertisements as a funeral collection...

Digital Desk: Ahead of the festive and wedding season the designer brand Sabyasachi unveiled a new ad showcasing its "Heritage bridal" collection. However, the brand is facing backlash on the internet as several individuals were not happy with how the models were portrayed.

The advertisement showcases women wearing the latest saree collection, however, some on the internet find the women's "expressionless," "sad," and "boring" faces annoying. Even more, the fact that none of the models wore bindis irked people. Beliefs state that any ethnic attire, especially during celebrations, is seen incomplete without a bindi.

Taking to Instagram, the official page of Sabyasachi dropped a video featuring the new collection and captioned it as, ''HERITAGE BRIDAL 2023.'' Not long after, several irate individuals took to the comment section to express their annoyance and criticized the business for using models in a "mourning look" when it was connected to festivities and weddings.

Instead of discussing the designs, some individuals mocked the brand and referred to the latest advertisement as a "funeral collection." A few images also became the focus of amusing memes and jokes. "Why are models looking depressed?" a user asked.  Is it a depression collection? Where is bindi? Nobody can make fun of any festivals in the name of freedom of expression.

Another user wrote, ''Welcome to the world of Rudali for any kind of Matam Sabyasachi Mourning Collection - A line of colourful designer sarees for going to funerals.'' A third added, ''What exactly is their problem, constipation, piles, hernia ….?''
