Transgender people's first owned and operated salon now open in your Dream City Mumbai; Take a look
A transgender salon has opened in Mumbai to empower and self-sufficiency the transgender community...

Digital Desk: Even today, transgender people and members of the 'Kinnar' community experience a great deal of prejudice. Even after fighting for their survival and equal rights daily, they still have not achieved their aim. But, some of them are shattering the glass ceiling by proving their worth.

A transgender salon has opened in Mumbai to empower and self-sufficiency the transgender community. This salon will be run by seven transgender people. Zainab, the salon's proprietor, is a transgender woman. Zainab stated that this action was critical to empower the Kinnar community.

Zainab explained that the salon was dedicated to giving transgender persons training and jobs. Deutsche Bank and the Rotary Club of Bombay collaborated to open the salon.

In a world where the transgender population is considered too strange and marginalised, this modest action has proven to be a huge leap for the community.

In addition to this, A Trans tea stall has been opened at Guwahati, Assam Train station in an effort to empower transgender people. The initiative by N. F. Railway is the first of its kind on Indian Railways. It was accomplished with the full participation of the All Assam Transgender Association.
