Woman marries her 18-year-old sister-in-law, says "Jahan prem rahega, wahin rahenge hum"

Notably, after marrying Soni, Shukla changed her name to Suraj Kumar, cut her hair short, and started dressing like a man...

Digital Desk: A 32-year-old woman married her husband's sister in Bihar's Samastipur.

Shukla Devi and Pramod Das married ten years ago and have two children. However, Shukla later rejected the marriage with Pramod and married his 18-year-old sister, Soni Devi.

"We got married because we loved each other," Shukla said about the marriage with Soni Devi.

When Shukla was asked why she married a girl when she was already married, she said, "Pati hua to kya hua... Jahan prem rahega, wahin na rahenge (So what if I have a husband? I will live there where there is love)."

"We are quite happy after the marriage," Shukla added. "I believe that the heart is the home of love. From the bottom of our hearts, we both love. There is no entertainment from the heart but true love. Soni is very nice," she said.

Surprisingly, Pramod had no objections to Shukla and Soni's marriage. He said, "I am happy if she is happy."

He added that once they fell in love, his wife moved in with his sister.

Reportedly, after marrying Soni, Shukla changed her name to Suraj Kumar, cut her hair short, and started dressing like a man.

Moreover, they also planned to change their gender and looked up the procedure online. Nevertheless, after watching several videos of gender change surgery, they became terrified and abandoned the plan. When the news spread, Soni's family reached their house and forcibly took her away.

Shukla filed a police complaint, accusing her in-laws of "kidnapping" her life partner.

"We are aware of the story and have assigned a female inspector to investigate the case. We will take action based on the findings," Rosera police station inspector Krishna Prasad said.
