Dr Garima Sawhney is an example of a great entrepreneur who has built a medical enterprise worth 11,400 crores in just five years. Dr Garima Sawhney, who is from Gurugram, left her well-paying position to start her own business, Pristyn Care. In 2018, Dr Garima Sawhney, her husband Vaibhav, and a friend established Pristyn Care.

Dr. Garima Sawhney re-launched her company Pristyn Care in a new avatar and the experiment proved to be a huge success. Garima's business strategy was to utilize the unused space in hospitals and treat patients there using its medical staff, equipment, and infrastructure. Sequoia Capital provided the financing Garima and her team needed to successfully implement their company concept. This startup turned into a unicorn three years after its founding. The company is currently valued at USD 1.4 billion, or Rs. 11,400 crore.

The entrepreneurial idea started with Dr. Garima Sawhney's medical practice. With 1.5 million patients and a presence in more than 42 locations, Pristyn Care was founded in 2018. While growing its business, the company has worked with more than 800 hospitals.

By the financial year 2024, Pristyn Care hopes to generate revenue of Rs 1000 crore. 350 crore rupees were the company's revenue in FY22, and patient surgery accounts for 60% of that figure. Operation theatres and beds are typically 20% occupied.
