Digital Desk: A woman protested outside her boyfriend's house in Jharkhand's Dhanbad district after he refused to marry her. The couple has been dating for four years, the woman said. The whole thing is linked to the Dhanbad district's Rajganj police station area.
Despite the extreme cold, the woman continued to protest for three days. Her protest, however, was not in vain, as the couple tied the knot on Sunday with the consent of both families. The couple, Uttam Mahato and Nisha Kumari got married at the Maa Lilori temple in Gangapur, Rajganj.
The woman earlier stated that she and Uttam Mahato, a resident of Maheshpur village, have been in a love relationship for the past four years. She met Uttam while she was a student at SSLNT College in Dhanbad.
She claimed that both families were aware of their relationship and that Uttam had promised to marry her. Moreover, both have also visited each other's families' houses on multiple occasions.
After this, their marriage was fixed by both families. The wedding date was also fixed, but Uttam refused to wed only 20 days before. The woman then made the decision to protest in front of Uttam's house.
