Bikaner BJP Minority Morcha Leader Kicked Out Of The Party After Criticising Modi

When asked about the Prime Minister's remarks regarding Muslims,  Ghani, speaking as a Muslim himself, expressed disappointment with the Prime Minister's stance

Digital Desk: Usman Ghani, the district president of the Bikaner BJP Minority Morcha, faced expulsion from the party. The reason cited was his perceived damage to its reputation, following his public disagreement with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's recent remarks in Rajasthan.

During an interview with a New Delhi news channel,  Ghani expressed his belief that the BJP might lose three to four of Rajasthan’s 25 Lok Sabha seats.

Moreover, he condemned Prime Minister Modi's comments concerning Muslims during state election rallies.

When asked about the Prime Minister's remarks regarding Muslims,  Ghani, speaking as a Muslim himself, expressed disappointment with the Prime Minister's stance.

He mentioned that when he approaches Muslims to solicit votes for the BJP, they often inquire about the PM's statements, seeking clarification from him.

Ghani asserted that the Jat community in the state is discontent with the BJP and has voted against the party in Churu and other constituencies.

Despite potential repercussions from the party for his outspokenness,  Ghani indicated he was undeterred.

Following the circulation of a video featuring  Ghani conversing with a news channel reporter on social media, Onkar Singh Lakhawat, the BJP state disciplinary committee chairman, accused Usman Ghani of attempting to tarnish the party's image in the media.

In a statement,  Lakhawat announced  Ghani's expulsion from the primary membership of the party for a duration of six years, citing it as a breach of discipline.

The Bikaner Lok Sabha seat underwent polling in the first phase on April 19.

During a rally in Rajasthan’s Banswara, PM Modi insinuated on Sunday that if the Congress were to come to power, it would engage in wealth redistribution favouring Muslims. He alleged that Congress intends to allocate the earnings and possessions of the populace to "infiltrators" and families with multiple children.
