Digital Desk: The generation that will be born on the 1st of January, 2025 will be referred as Generation Beta. Being born between 2025 and 2039, this generation is likely to comprise 16% global citizens by 2035. According to Mark McCrindle, the person credited for generational naming, many from this group may live until the 22nd century.
They are part of Generation Beta succeeding generation Alpha (2010-2024) while replacing “Generation Z”(1996-2010) and Millennials (1981-1996). Generation Alpha is derived from the Greek alphabet-based naming system meaning that it has marked the beginning of a new generation.
Nicknamed as “Beta babies,” and this generation will essentially mature in an even more technologically advanced society. Self-driven cars and trucks, biosensors, and virtual reality are expected to become the indispensable components of their lives. According to McCrindle, environment of Generation Beta will be marked by a higher level of integration of technology than any generation before.
