How to celebrate the puja?

People usually celebrate this day by taking a bath and offering Puja to Lord Vishwakarma. Traditionally, a flower is held in the right hand. Then an Akshat (sacred water) is taken, and hymns are recited. Following, the holy water is scattered all over the place, and the flower is left behind in the water.

As a part of the tradition, people also knot a Raksha Sutra or the holy thread on their right waist and seek blessing from Lord Vishwakarma. After the completion of puja, individuals offer water and flowers to the machines. The puja gets completed with Yajna (a ritual sacrifice with a specific objective).
