A 6.8 magnitude earthquake jolts down Mexico, no damages reported yet
Buildings in Mexico City are trembling as a result of a strong earthquake with a magnitude of 6.8.

Digital Desk: A strong earthquake with an estimated magnitude of 6.8 has forced buildings in Mexico's capital to tremble.

The quake occurred early Thursday, only three days after a 7.6-magnitude earthquake hit western and central Mexico, killing two people.

The earthquake on Thursday, like the one on Monday, was centered in the western state of Michoacan, along the Pacific coast, according to the US Geological Survey.

The state government of Michoacan said the quake was felt throughout the state but did not immediately report any damage.

There were no initial reports of damage in Mexico City, according to Mayor Claudia Sheinbaum on Twitter. As seismic warnings sounded, residents hid in the streets.
