Digital Desk: The Enforcement Directorate of India blocked bank assets worth Rs 370 crore belonging to cryptocurrency exchange Vauld on Thursday, sources said.

The Vauld crypto exchange is already in financial trouble, having suspended all withdrawals and deposits on the platform last month.

This development occurs just days after the ED froze bank assets worth almost Rs 65 crore that belonged to Sameer Mhatre, the director of cryptocurrency exchange WazirX, in connection with a money laundering investigation.

A news agency contacted Vauld for a response.

In response, the exchange said "Sorry! We don't know anything about this article. We sincerely ask that you rely on Vauld's updates. We have always made an effort to be the first to provide all significant updates, and we will do so going forward. We kindly ask for your understanding and cooperation as we look into this problem."
