    Comedian Raju Srivastava passed away in Delhi at the age of 58. On August 10, he was brought to AIIMS Delhi after collapsing at the gym while experiencing chest trouble.

    Digital Desk: Raju Srivastav, 58, was a veteran comedian who got admitted to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS). Raju Srivastava suffered a heart attack and was hospitalised on August 10 after complaining of chest pain while running on a treadmill at the gym. On the same day, he had an angioplasty.

    At AIIMS in Delhi, Raju Srivastava was on life support. After 15 days on ventilator support, the comic regained consciousness. However, on September 1, after running a fever of up to 100 degrees, he was placed back on ventilator support.

    Srivastava has been involved in the entertainment industry since the late 1980s, and he ascended to supremacy after appearing in the inaugural season of the stand-up comedy show "The Great Indian Laughter Challenge" in 2005. He appeared in several films, including 'Maine Pyar Kiya,' 'Aamdani Atthanni Kharcha Rupaiya,' and 'Main Prem Ki Deewani Hoon.'
