Nara after being shot twice. After being brought to the hospital, Shinzo Abe
had "no vital signs," according to a previous government statement.
The former Japanese prime minister was reportedly shot twice by an unidentified
assailant as he was giving a speech during a campaign. The gunshot that was
fired at Shinzo Abe caused him to bleed to death. He was
"unconscious" when he was taken to the hospital.
According to reports
a man who is thought to be the suspect has been detained. Shinzo Abe was shot
while making a speech at an event in Nara as the former prime minister of
Japan.

11.30 am, police arrested the attacker of Abe, according to a report in The
Japan Times.
Tetsuya Yamagami, a
41-year-old resident of Nara City, has been named by the Japanese Police as the
suspect in the shooting of former prime minister Shinzo Abe on Friday,
according to Japanese media.
