Digital Desk: India fared poorly on the air pollution index in 2022, despite improving three places from the previous year on the list of countries with the worst air quality.
India was ranked eighth on the list, slipping by three spots from the previous year, with Chad, Iraq, Pakistan, Bahrain, and Bangladesh being the five most polluted countries in 2022.
According to the annual world air quality report produced by Swiss air quality technology company IQAir, 14 of the top 20 most polluted cities in the world are in India.
