Donald Trump would soon impose a travel ban on Pakistanis in the US.
Digital Desk: A senior representative of Pakistan faced international humiliation when US Border Control agents barred his entry despite having all his required paperwork and valid travel documents according to The News Pakistani media source. On his arrival in Los Angeles both the US immigration denied KK Wagan diplomatic entry and then deported him from the United States.
A senior Pakistani ministry official mentioned that the envoy received "an immigration objection" as quoted in the news report.
The well-experienced and seasoned diplomat Mr Wagan was on a personal tour to Los Angeles, as per report authorities confirmed that the envoy possessed a valid US visa along with his necessary travel documents.
Immigration officials detained Mr Wagan at Los Angeles customs when they obtained diplomatic protocol reports about him. Official US agencies marked several "controversial visa references " in Mr Wagan's record although the report lacks precise details about those concerns according to diplomatic sources.
The authorities requested him to return when he had arrived in Los Angeles.
The Pakistan Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar along with senior government officials received briefing information about this matter according to the reported source. Official representatives have ordered Mr Wagan to report for questioning at Islamabad regarding the situation.
The incident has created a major embarrassment for Islamabad because reports suggest that Donald Trump would soon impose a travel ban on the country that effectively stops the entry of Pakistanis into the US.
