Strange isn’t it, that we are all so unique in our DNA, then?
Digital Desk: We begin at zero. Unable to support our life on our own.
The same forces beyond our control that led to our inanimate being in the mother’s womb to become animated continue their grace upon us and we are introduced to the world in the hands of a mother who would do anything to protect us (generally speaking) along with a father and assorted members of family/clan.
Aart from the life support that they provide, they also mark us with a sense of identity. We learn the ways of the world through the perspective of our family, community etc.
Then we try our hand at forging a distinct identity, rebel through teenage, and more often than not, settle back into the early traits ingrained upon us, and life goes on.
It marches till old age takes over, and the identity that we had built in this world crumbles, bit by bit, piece by piece, and we relapse into a ball of helplessness just like we were at birth.
From zero to zero is the journey.
All natural processes show this cycle, human life being no exception.
Strange isn’t it, that we are all so unique in our DNA, then?
If we are each a unique entity, not to be found anywhere else in the known creation, surely there must be something that is needed from us between the stages of oblivion?
The contributions of our ancestors hold the answer here.
In case of humans, life is different today from yesterday mostly because of advances made through the human intellect.
So, while we are here, bright and productive and inspired, our task is to use our resources to make life better.
We must not lie back and let our productive years go to waste. As it is, we are going to vegetate, sooner or later.
Now, in the prime of our powers, let us take ownership, observe what we can do to make things better, and fulfil our role on the planet.
