BJP's Kangana Ranaut owns assets worth over Rs 90 crore, 3 luxury cars

Digital Desk: Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut, who is contesting for Lok Sabha on behalf of the BJP from Mandi in Himachal Pradesh, has assets valued at over Rs 90 crore, of which Rs 28.7 crore are moveable and Rs 62.9 crore are immovable, according to her election affidavit. 

With approximately Rs 1.35 crore in bank balance, the 37-year-old actor-turned-politician has Rs 2 lakh in cash on hand. 

Kangana also has three luxury vehicles, a BMW, a Mercedes Benz, and a Mercedes Maybach, valued at Rs 3.91 crore. She also has houses in Manali, Punjab, and Mumbai. 

Along with these assets, the Bollywood actor has 60 kg of silver priced at Rs 50 lakh, 14-carat diamond jewelry worth Rs 3 crore, and 6.7 kilograms of gold valued at roughly Rs 5 crore.

She owes Rs 7.3 crore in total liabilities and holds 50 policies with Life Insurance Corporation (LIC). 

Kangana attended a private school in Chandigarh where she completed her 12th-grade education, according to the affidavit she presented to the electoral board. 

In the poll manifesto, the BJP candidate stated that Kangana is the target of eight criminal charges, three of which are related to offending religious sensitivities. 

Congress nominee Vikramaditya Singh, her opponent in the poll, is estimated to be worth Rs 96.70 crore. 

On June 1, the 7th and final round of the Parliamentary elections will take place in the Himachal Pradesh seat of Mandi for the Lok Sabha.

In her nomination statement, Kangana expressed her hope that "this is not the first and last time" and that she will "get more opportunities to file nominations from Choti Kashi (Mandi) in the future as well." Vikramaditya Singh had filed his papers on April 9.
