    CDS Rawat Chopper Crash: Lone survivor Captain Varun Singh shifted to Bengaluru; maintaining vitals

    Bengaluru: The lone survivor of the ill-fated Chopper that crashed yesterday in Tamil Nadu, IAF Group Captain Varun Singh has been shifted to Bengaluru hospital with 80-85 percent burn injuries. Singh is maintaining vitals.





    The recipient of the Shaurya Chakra gallantry award Singh survived the Wednesday night and prayers are there for his recovery at the DSSC.

    On Wednesday, the team of doctors treating Singh had said that the next 48 hours will be critical.





    Singh was recently promoted from Wing Commander to Group Captain and was a recent joinee at the DSSC.





    All the other 13 persons, including the Chief of Defence Staff Bipin Rawat and his wife Madhulika Rawat and other officials on the ill-fated chopper, died in the accident.
