Digital Desk: An Akhil Bharat Hindu Mahasabha leader was arrested on Tuesday for attempting to recite the Hanuman Chalisa at the Shahi Masjid Idgah on the Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi complex. Reportedly, seven-eight other leaders of the organization were also detained in their houses at different police stations in the city. Notably, the Akhil Bharat Hindu Mahasabha had called for the recitation of Hanuman Chalisa within the Shahi Masjid Idgah to mark the demolition of the Babri Mosque.
Additional Superintendent of Police (City) Martandey Singh stated that Akhil Bharat Hindu Mahasabha's Agra region in-charge, Saurabh Sharma, was arrested while he was making an attempt to enter the Idgah mosque on the complex.
He added that the Mahasabha's president, Rajshri Chaudhary, and treasurer, Dinesh Sharma, were not among those detained at their houses and that the police had no information about the two.
The "Kar Sevaks" destroyed the Babri mosque in Ayodhya on December 6, 1992.

He stated that the Supreme Court's orders will be implemented and that prohibitory orders issued under Section 144 of the CrPC will be carried out in letter and spirit.
