    IAF chopper crash: 13 out of 14 dead, Government likely to brief Parliament tomorrow

    New Delhi: An Air Force chopper with CDS General Bipin Rawat and some of his family members onboard, crashed in Tamil Nadu’s Nilgiris district on Wednesday. As per reports, the helicopter crashed owing to poor visibility due to dense fog. Of the 14, 13 have died while three others are recuperating in the hospital.

    Defence minister Rajnath Singh has briefed Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the Indian Air Force chopper crash. He provided complete details available information about the incident. His brief included details of the crash and response measures taken. Sources from the defence minister’s office said Rajnah Singh is monitoring the situation.





    Meanwhile, the government is likely to issue a statement tomorrow in Parliament over the crash of the military chopper with Chief of Defence Staff on board, said sources.
