The National Centre for Seismology reported that the quake's epicenter was located 233 kilometers north of Ayodhya in Uttar Pradesh.

This latest quake comes hot on the heels of a devastating 6.4-magnitude earthquake that struck Nepal last Friday, claiming the lives of at least 157 people.
