Digital Desk: Caretaker Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to take the Oath of Office and Secrecy on June 9, Sunday, at Rashtrapati Bhavan. Along with Narendra Modi, other members of the Union Council of Ministers will also take their oaths. This significant event involves elaborate security measures and a distinguished guest list.
As part of the security protocol, three-layered security will be enforced inside and outside Rashtrapati Bhavan. According to a PTI report, the outermost layer will be managed by Delhi police personnel, followed by paramilitary forces, with the innermost ring being the responsibility of the President's House internal security.
"Around 2500 police personnel, including five companies of paramilitary and Delhi Armed Police (DAP) jawans, have been planned to be deployed around the venue," a police officer told PTI.
Additional security measures include the deployment of snipers and armed police personnel along the routes of dignitaries. Drones will be utilized at strategic locations to enhance surveillance capabilities.
No-Fly Zone in Delhi NCT
To ensure the safety of the event, Delhi police have implemented a no-fly zone over the National Capital Territory (NCT) of Delhi. This restriction covers various sub-conventional aerial platforms such as paragliders, hang gliders, UAVs, and microlight aircraft. The no-fly order will be effective from June 9 to June 11, as stated by Delhi Police Commissioner Sanjay Arora.
In a tweet on X, Delhi police emphasized the ban, stating, "With effect from 09.06.2024, there will be a prohibition on flying of sub-conventional aerial platforms like para-gliders, para-motors, hang-gliders, UAVs, UASS, microlight aircraft, remotely piloted aircraft, hot air balloons, small-sized powered aircraft, quadcopters or para-jumping from aircraft, etc.

Notable invitees include Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, Sri Lankan President Ranil Wickremesinghe, Nepalese Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda', Maldivian President Mohamed Muizzu, Bhutanese Prime Minister Tshering Tobgay, Prime Minister of Mauritius Pravind Jugnauth, and President of Seychelles Wavel Ramkalawan.

In 2019, leaders from BIMSTEC (Bay of Bengal Initiative for Multi-Sectoral Technical and Economic Cooperation) countries were invited, highlighting India's commitment to fostering strong regional ties.

Enhanced security protocols have been put in place at the hotels where the foreign dignitaries will stay during their visit to India for Narendra Modi's oath-taking ceremony.
