Digital Desk: Veteran actor Tabassum Govil passed away on November 18 at the age of 78 after a cardiac arrest. Her son Hoshang Govil confirmed this on November 19, news agency PTI reported.
The talk show host, formerly known as Baby Tabassum, began her career as a child performer in 1947. As an actor, Tabassum appeared in movies including Nargis (1947), Mera Suhaag (1947), Manjhdhar (1947), Bari Behen (1949), Deedar (1951), and Swarg (1990). From 1972 to 1993, Tabassum also hosted the renowned Doordarshan conversation show Phool Khile Hain Gulshan Gulshan.
"She was admitted to the hospital a few days ago. We went there for a checkup because she was having stomach issues. She experienced two heart attacks at 8.40 and 8.42 o'clock. On Friday evening, she peacefully passed away "Hoshang said to PTI.
