    nine-year-old Dalit child from Rajasthan's Jalore district died on Saturday
    after allegedly being physically assaulted by a teacher at a private school for
    drinking water from a pot.



    After being badly assaulted
    on July 20, the victim- a student at a private school in Surana Village, Jalore
    District- passed away on July 22 at a hospital in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, from his
    injuries.



    The accused instructor,
    Chail Singh, was detained and accused of killing a person and breaking the
    Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe (Prevention of Atrocities Act).



    On Twitter, Chief
    Minister Ashok Gehlot denounced the incident. "Tragically, a youngster
    from a private school in Jalore's Sayla police station died as a result of a
    teacher's attack. The culprit was arrested after a case was filed against him
    under the SC/ST Act's murder provision "In Hindi, he tweeted.



    The complaint was turned
    over to the Chief Officer (CO) of Jalore by Jalore's Superintendent of Police
    (SP), Harsh Vardhan Agarwalla.



    Jalore Police responded
    on Twitter: "After filing a report at the Sayla police station, CO Jalore
    is conducting an inquiry into the aforementioned occurrence. The District
    Superintendent of Police Jalore and CO Jalore arrived at the scene and began an
    investigation after taking the situation seriously. The defendant had handcuffs
    on. On the spot, peace reigns."



    As per sources, the state department of education has established an investigation
    committee, and Khiladi Lal Bairwa, the chairman of the Rajasthan SC Commission,
    has ordered that the matter be taken up under the case officer's programme for
    accelerated investigation.



    The committee is
    responsible for providing feedback to the block education officer.
