For "intimidating" Wriddhiman Saha, BCCI bans a journalist for two years

Digital Desk: On Wednesday, India's Board of Control for Cricket
(BCCI) sentenced renowned journalist Boria Majumdar to two years in prison for
intimidating Wriddhiman Saha. A journalist allegedly threatened the experienced
India wicket-keeper for refusing to give an interview. In March of this year,
he provided all the details to a BCCI committee investigating the incident.

identified himself as the person charged by Saha. In New Delhi, a three-member
committee met with Saha to investigate the 37-year-charges against the
anonymous journalist. "Everything I know has been shared with the
    committee."

Right now, I'm not sure how much I can tell you. After appearing before the
committee in New Delhi, Saha informed the media, "BCCI has instructed me
not to talk about the meeting outside since they will answer all your
    questions."

international cricket events in India as a member of the press. Majumdar has
also been barred from interviewing any registered players in India for the next
two years, according to the statement. He has also been barred from using any
BCCI or member association-owned cricket facilities for the next two years.

a series of tweets on February 23 to make the charge, following which the BCCI
initiated a probe into the matter.

was left out of the Sri Lanka series at home. Saha divulged some classified
dressing room chats with head coach Rahul Dravid in an outburst.

South Africa that he was no longer a part of the plan.

how the national selection committee's chairman, Chetan Sharma, informed him
that he was no longer being considered. Saha was recently downgraded from Group
A to Group C on the BCCI's central contracts list.
