President Draupadi Murmu is likely to visit Tripura on a 2-day tour on October 13

color:#252525">Digital Desk: President Draupadi Murmu will be on a 2-day visit
to Tripura and is scheduled to land at Maharaja Bir Bikram Airport in Tripura
on Wednesday morning. It will be Murmu's first visit to the state after
becoming President.

color:#252525">The President will inaugurate several development projects in
Tripura during her two-day visit to the state, an official informed.

color:#252525">Murmu will flag off the Guwahati to Kolkata express up to
Agartala and the extension of the Agartala-Jiribam-Agartala route during the
visit. 

color:#252525">According to reports, the Jan Satabdi express up to Khongsang
(Manipur) has a new LHB rake and Vistadome coach.

color:#252525">She would also dedicate the nation's trans-shiftment yard, which
was constructed six kilometres from the state capital at Nischintapur, the
crossing location of the Indo-Bangla railway project.

color:#252525">At Narsinghgarh in the West Tripura district, the President is
set to lay the foundation for the Pushbanta Palace Museum and National Law
University.

color:#252525">Pushbanta Palace, constructed in 1917 by Maharaja Birendra
Kishore Mankya Bahadur, is slated to be transformed into a digital museum by
the state government. When visiting Tripura, Nobel laureate Rabindranath Tagore
stayed at the palace. Up until April 2018, the Governor's formal residence was
the Pushbanta Palace.

color:#252525">The Agartala Municipal Corporation (AMC) will host a civic
welcome for Murmu at Town Hall with Chief Minister Manik Saha, Mayor Dipak
Majumder, and cabinet officials in attendance. The President is anticipated to
meet with dignitaries, popular figures, and political leaders.

color:#252525">On October 13, the President is planned to travel to Udaipur to
pray at the Tripureswari temple before departing the city for Guwahati at 1:10.

color:#252525">In preparation for the President's visit to the state, security
has been tightened up in Agartala and the surrounding area.

color:#252525">A high-level security team from Delhi has already come here to
oversee the security arrangements for the President's visit. They went to the
program locations to inspect the state police's security measures. For greater
coordination, they are in contact with senior police officers ", a senior
police officer stated.
